Hi, I'm Laura / ivy / Darxoon :)
I'm a 19 year old trans girl from Germany who is autistic and has ADHD. I'm currently going to university studying computer science.
I LOVE Paper Mario, Sonic, Animal Crossing (esp. Wild World and New Leaf), World of Goo, Professor Layton and more. I also love programming, including modding video games (which i talk about later on this page).
I am (possibly ace) lesbian and trans, the latter of which I realized at a similar time around late 2022-ish. It has taken me a while time to get comfortable with this, and I am still not very far into my transition, but I am getting there :)
That I am lesbian (rather than just ace) is something I also only realized a lot more recently.
I love modding video games and developing modding tools for them. The game that probably got me into modding video games was World of Goo, which I made a few (shitty) custom levels for when I was a child (that I never published and don't have anymore). Over the years, I had attempted to mod Minecraft a few times, albeit not getting very far every time.
At some point in 2020, after I played Paper Mario: The Origami King (a game I really love), I was curious if it had any sort of modding scene. It did, although a very small one with not a lot of technical progress having been made at all, which made me start developing tools for it (indirectly birthing TOK Refolded) and also the new TTYD Remake, which has been some of the most exciting that any personal project has been so far.
Over time, however, my interest has shifted from those games to Paper Mario: Sticker Star and Color Splash, which I have spent the majority of time modding now.
Since World of Goo 2 released in 2024, I have also been interested in modding that game. One of the biggest limitations with that game is that it's impossible to add your own types of goo balls (a very hard limitation in its programming). I addressed this with FistyLoader, a code mod made in Assembly and C++. I have also made Goo2Tool, a mod loader that is supposed to make packaging and installing mods a lot easier.
